I just order the Nokia 2760 Flip Phone, but I was told a day later tha

I just order the Nokia 2760 Flip Phone, but I was told a day later that it would not have a network in North America. I am wondering if this is true. If it is, can something be done to make it 'have a network' (whatever that means)? Specifically in Canada? I would love to hear back, asap.
