Videocon has launched a new smartphone Videocon Cube 3 with panic button that was recently made compulsory by the government in both the smartphone and feature phone. The panic button is found inside the SOS-Be Safe app. The device uses the power button as a panic button to send out an SOS alert to pre-registered numbers in an emergency. The SOS-Be Safe has features like Walk with Me, Reach on Time and Alert and the user can activate these features from their smartphone's status bar. The app uses GPS to provide a map view of nearby police stations and hospitals for any emergency situation.
Coming to the specification, It has a 5 inch display screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It houses a 16 GB built-in storage which can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD. A 13 MP camera is fitted on the rear panel and 5 MP camera on the front panel. From a 3000 mAh battery The device gets its energy from a 3000 mAh battery.
