More specs leaked about Blackberry Z10

As Blackberry Z10 is releasing on 30th Wednesday January 2013, more details about its specs, price and more pictures are revealed. The Blackberry Z10 will carry a lofty price tag of 26,000/- Indian Rupees. The Research In Motion (RIM) company has decided to surpass Apple and Samsung with its flagship smartphone Blackberry Z10, which is based on their base model BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha handset, that had been given to developers in last May. In design and build, Z10 is identical to the Blackberry 10 Dev Alpha.

2012 was not at all a good year for RIM, the Blackberry manufacturing company. All the Blackberry devices went submissive under the attack of iPhones and Galaxies. But gaining their strength back, RIM developed a new operating system, known as Blackberry 10. Blackberry Z10 handset will be run by this BB 10 OS.



The main features of Blackberry Z10 are the followings:

The main attraction is obviously the OS, which is developed by the company itself. The BB10 is expected to give faster and nicer performance to the phone. The screen has 4.2" display with 1280×768 (356 PPI) and 24-bit colours. The aspect ratio is 15:9. As the processor, the device has Dual-core 1.5 GHz TI OMAP 4470(Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 for US and Canada). It has an 8MP auto focus rear camera with LED flash light and 1080p resolution and a front facing camera of 2MP. Blackberry Z10 has 2GB RAM, 16/32 GB internal storage and a microSD card slot to expand the memory. The phone's Internet and connectivity includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, micro-USB and micro-HDMI. It supports GPS with A-GPS. The device has Ambient light, Accelerometer, Magnetometer, Gyroscope as its sensors and also face detect for phone calls. Z10 is powered by an 1800 mAh removable battery.

The Z10 supports a quad band radio featuring HSPA+/UMTS (850,900,1700,1900,2100 MHz), quad band GSM/GPRS (850,900,1800MHz and LTE bands 2,4,5,13,17(700,850,1700,1900 MHz). The reports haven't confirmed anything about the CPU yet. The new device, supported by BB10 OS, will be having a big bunch of applications from across the globe and across categories, including Games, Productivity, Social, Lifestyle and Leisure, Multimedia and Published Content, as well as applications designed for business and enterprise uses.

By its looks and specifications, Blackberry Z10 will give you the impression of a casual high priced smartphone. But taking in to consideration the new OS, BB10, we can expect better performance from Z10. Apart from the touch screen version, RIM is preparing a Blackberry phone with key board too. According to reports, this device will be named as Blackberry X10. The RIM has arranged a world wide launching for its Blackberry Z10, launching the device in New York, Toronto, London, Paris, Johannesburg and Dubai. Tomorrow, the Blackberry Z10 will be launched and the details of Blackberry X10 will be announced. By showing off their new Operating System Blackberry 10, RIM will be unveiling the next line up of smartphones which is to be run by BB10 OS.
