Lenovo is ready to enter India with its two Ideapads- Ideapad Y500 and Ideapad Z500. The company announced the news today. These are company's Windows 8 notebooks with third generation Intel Core processors. The Ideapad Y500 is priced 65,000/- Indian rupees, whereas the Ideapad Z500 is priced 49,000/- Indian rupees.
Lenovo's IdeaPad Y500comes with a 15.6-inch LED back lit wide screen HD display with NVIDIA graphics processor. It is to have 8GB RAM and 1TB HDD storage. The computer has one USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI Port and a 6-in-1 card reader. It has Bluetooth 4.0 support. The device features Gigabyte LAN or 10/100/1000 LAN for a rapid data buffering during gaming. It also has an interchangeable DVD reader, JBL speakers and Dolby Home Theater v4 for its audio system. It also comes with dual layer AccuType keyboard with a touch pad. IdeaPad Y500 packs the unique UltraBay, which is an interchangeable bay, that users can instantly swap out for dual graphics capability, increases storage space or an additional fan for cooling.
Lenovo claims that the Ideapad Z500 is the slimmest laptop available in the market. It has a 15.6-inch LED back lit HD wide screen display with a 3rd gen Intel Core i7 processor. It has a 2GB NVIDIA Graphics card and up to 8GB DDR3 memory. It also has a storage up to 1TB HDD. It has both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. The Lenovo Ideapad Z500 is to come in two colour variations- Dark Chocolate and Enamel White.
The notebooks also have intelligent touch pad that is optimised for the new Windows 8 interface with easy scroll, zoom and rotate functions. Both devices come with a 2 year warranty and include accidental damage warranty.
In the last week, Reliance Communications (RCOM),which is one of India’s largest telecommunication service provider, has collaborated with Lenovo to launch a bunch of innovative Smartphones in the country. Soon after the official tie up, Lenovo is launching these two Ideapads to India, which marks their entry to the world's one of the best consumer country. With these two Ideapads, Lenovo shows that they have been preparing to make their big way to India. This gives hope for more experimental innovations in the field of laptops and smartphones.
