iPhone 6 and iPhone 5S – New Rumours

New rumours about the release date, Price and Specs of Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 5S.

Soon after Apple iPhone 5 hit the markets, the next Apple product became a hot topic. IPhone5S or iPhone 6 is still a hot topic. Here we gather all the rumours about the upcoming Apple device, under one roof for you.

iPhone 5S or 6?

This is the major concern regarding the next offspring of Apple. While analysing the possibility of both, we feel that iPhone 5S has a slight lead ahead. The reason is simple. Check the history. Apple has always come up with a device which is followed by its ‘S’ version sooner than later. And there are a plenty of people who believe or rather hope that Apple will bring in a cheaper version this year.

So, according to result of the repeated rumour mantra, we vote for Apple iPhone 5S.

Apple iPhone 6 or 5S

But keeping in mind the incident when the iPad 4 came just six months after the iPad 3, we can’t completely neglect the chance of iPhone 6 being the next product from Apple.

Price Rumours:

Well, the next topic is regarding the price of the new Apple device, whether it is iPhone 5S or an iPhone 6. According to the rumours, if the next product is iPhone 5S, it will be having a price tag of in and around 18,000/- Rupees.

Apple iPhone 6 or 5S

If Apple will be going for iPhone 6, we don’t think that there will be any change in the price tag from the initial price of the earlier version, iPhone 5. Because, Apple typically releases its new offspring at the same price tag of its ancestors. If they still follow the pattern, then we can expect a we'd expect a 45,000/- rupees for the 32GB model and a 50,000/- for the 64GB model and a 58,000/-for the 128GB model.

However, there are some other rumours saying that the iPhone 5S/iPhone 6 could come at a much lower price point. We are not yet sure whether these are rumours or some wild hopes.

Releasing date rumours:

The next iPhone, whatever its name, is most likely to come out in Spring 2013. According to some analysts, there is every possibility for a May/June release for the new iPhone device.

Apple iPhone 6 or 5S

Some reporters dare a prediction of a March release for the iPhone 5S, which, obviously has very lesser chance as there is only one more week left for that. Some other experts argue for a September release. Taking in to consideration the Holidays season, we can’t neglect that possibility.

The much awaited HTC One, Xperia Z and recently the Galaxy S4 got released. Apple might give some space to let the first waves of excitement to be over, and then go for an exclusive and stunning release for its new device. There is possibly no chance for Apple to release a device soon, just to compete with others.

But according to some other reports, the iPhone 6 will not be releasing before 2014. As per the opinions of an analyst, “Apple's iPhone uses a technology called 'in-cell,' which essentially meshes the touch screen with the glass screen into one thin display. Its partners can't get good enough yields making those displays bigger to launch the iPhone 6 this year”. He thinks the next iPhone will run on a 20 nm processor, allowing it to add more cores, possibly four or eight.

Apple iPhone 6 or 5S

But we will not think that Apple will be holding out its next device release till then. Come on, how long will they keep people waiting?

Specs rumours:

The rumours about iPhone do not end with its releasing and price. It spreads over to the specs too. Here we present for you the rumoured specs sheet of next iPhone.

Screen:

The next Apple device will be literally pixel free. That is the main rumour about the screen of next iPhone. With its Retina display, Apple says that you can't see individual pixels on the iPhone's screen when used at a normal distance. That effectively means that upping the resolution on the same size screen makes no sense. The only way to add more pixels is, then, to produce a slightly bigger phone with a bigger screen. So, a bigger screen could be expected.

There are chances that they might introduce a Sharp IGZO (Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide) screen. This new technology allows for screens that use less power and are considerably thinner. This technology was introduced in the CES of 2013. From then onwards, it has been getting attached with every iPhone rumours.

According to some other reports, the iPhone 6 will have a Super HD screen. Some others go to the extent of saying that Apple will release multiple releases this year. These reports do not seem practical to us.

Apple iPhone 6 or 5S

There were reports about Apple having the patent of bringing in magical morphing technology, which can hide sensors and even cameras. But that might take a pretty long time to be developed and applied to a polished handset like iPhone.
When Apple increased the screen size of the iPhone 5 to 4 inches, many people saw it as a new trend from Apple to fight with the larger screened Android Smartphones. Owing much to the competition, 5 inch screen has become a must in the psyche of people, as far as a classic smartphone is concerned. So, there is every chance for Apple to go for a bigger screen.

Some other reports say about Apple launching phones with different sized screens with colour variations. Well, we don’t buy that rumour. If Apple is to implement two different screen size for iPhone 5S and iPhone 6, we reckon that the latter will be having the bigger screen.

Home Button:

Apple is likely to have a new form factor with no home button. Gesture control is also possibly be included. Keep in mind that, it was rumoured that Apple would dump the home button in time for iPhone 5 also, but it did not happened.

Storage:

The time of 64GB is over. The next iPhone ill have 128GB storage. Keeping in mind that the recent iPad 4 had 128GB storage, this will be true. Taken in to consideration that Apple now has the capacity to introduce 128GB storage on iPhones, and also keeping in mind the competition out there in the market, iPhones should have 128GB storage.

Processor:

Apart from the Dual cored processors, new iPhone will be having Quad core processor. Else, it will be a drawback as many smartphones out there in the market already has it. Currently the iPhone 5 has a dual-core Apple A6 processor. We expect the next iPhone to have a quad-core Apple A7, using ARM Cortex A15-based cores.

Apple iPhone 6 or 5S

There are already quad-core phones from Apple's competitors and there's now the Samsung Galaxy S4 has octa-core Exynos 5chip. However, it should not be ignored that, having many cored processors will not always result in mind blowing performance. iPhone 5 is still the smoothest and fastest smartphone, despite having only two cores.

There are chances that Apple might not change the processor at all, as iPhone 5 being the best performed smartphone till time. But some latest reports indicates that Apple A7 processor is now possibly being manufactures by a Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing company.

But we can not ignore that such a build will be time consuming and Apple will not be holding on its next release that long. If it is true, then Apple will be releasing iPhone 5S with the old processor and iPhone 6 later, with the new one.
There are rumours about a tie up between Apple and Intel. It makes a lot of sense, as Intel has the capital investment in global fabrication plants, which means it should be able to offer competitive prices. It also means that Apple can move away from Samsung, reducing its reliance on its main competitor.

Camera:

Apple has bought camera for its product from Sony before. They are not likely to change the tie up now. The next iPhone will be featuring a 13 MP sensor that give highest quality of image than any other smartphones till date.

Eye Tracking:

As Samsung has successfully incorporated the Eye Scrolling technology, there is no chance of Apple missing that beat. The next iPhone is sure to perform magic with eye tracking feature. Apple is sure to catch up the loop holes Samsung left out like smart stay, smart pause etc.

NFC:

Apple iPhone 6 or 5S

One of the major missing parts in iPhone 5 was the NFC. But in its next device, Apple is sure to have this. As Apple has pushed its Passbook App, for storing store cards, tickets and coupons, integrating this with NFC would make things perfect.

Wireless Charging:

Wireless charging is one of the main key skills Samsung missed in its Galaxy S4. Apple should not miss it at any cost. There are reports that Apple has filed a patent for efficient wireless charging, but then again Apple has filed patents for pretty much anything imaginable. The plus point of this particular patent is that, Apple's technology will not be applicable for charging only one device, but multiple devices at a time

OS:

With Androids serving widgets and Windows 8 offering smoother interfaces, it is true that iOS seems old fashioned. In fact, iOS 5, which was introduced with the iPhone 5, THE Apple Maps app was definitely disastrous.

We are so sure that Apple will be working on an updated OS. But the question is whether it will be released with the next gadget or will it be ready only for the later ones, is the question.

One of the things that attract people to the iPhone is its ease of use and simplicity with dignity. Keeping in mind the fact that, iOS has not changed since its launch; it is high time Apple should introduce a well upgraded Operating system to keep itself updated with the other competitors.

Smart Bezel:

There are rumours about yet another patent of Apple. It is for a smart bezel. This will be used as a secondary display system, which could be embedded around the primary screen or even on the back of a device to provide new controls that light up when needed.

According to the reports, Apple intends to use the secondary display to introduce a new set of illuminated indicators that would be able to morph into various controls for work and play. Illuminated gaming and productivity controls could be built into the face-side of the bezel and/or selected back-side areas of iOS devices like the iPad.

That sounds amazing, doesn’t it? If it is put in to practice, it would be a right answer for several questions of the existing iPhone like having to scroll all the way to the top of an SMS thread to make a call with the sender.

Hardware:

Apart from the software specs, there are rumours about the likely design change of iPhone 5S/6.A polycarbonate body is one of the major change.

A new feature that could well appear on the 6th generation iPhone is the use of sonar instead of the current infrared sensors. It will use sound as a proximity sensor. According to the supporters of this rumour, this technology will let the phone detect where it is, either as a way of alerting the user about an incoming object, or as a way of detecting whether the phone is being held to the users ear.

These are the main rumours that are prevailing in the air about the nee iPhone. How many of these will become true, is a question which only time and Apple can answer. Till then, all we can do is wait patiently.
