The sole purpose of wearing smartwatch is to be the secondary screen for the smartphone. That is to be an absolute remote control to your smartphone. It seems like the device is run by Android OS v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Sony may get the SmartWatch 2 installed with the latest Jelly Bean version.

So it will definitely take time to achieve what the company targets now. But, Sony will have a better brand name for launching smartwatches for the first time. While rivals are working on first generation smartwatches, Sony has already rolled out a third generation stuff. Let's wait and watch what the rest of brands such as Apple, Samsung, HTC, and LG have to do here in the coming days.
