The dual-SIM Gionee S5.1 Pro sports a 5-inch 2.5 HD Amoled display with a screen resolution of 720x1280 pixels thus resulting in a total pixel density of 237ppi. The screen is layered with Corning's Gorilla Glass 4 for the extra protection. The device measures 145.1 x 70 x 6.35mm and weighs 129 grams. Being based on Android 5.1 Lollipop with the Amigo 3.0 user interface the device will be available in Gold and White color combination.
The internals comprises of a 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 octa-core SoC clocked at 1.3GHz, which comes coupled with Mali T720 GPU. Being coupled with 2 GB of RAM space, the device provides an internal storage of 16GB which can be expanded up to a massive 128 GB via micro SD card. The 13 MP rear camera with LED flash is supported by an 8MP front -facing one with an 81-degree viewing angle. A non-removable 2400mAh battery provides juice to the device and supports the following connectivity options 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB 2.0 port and other standard features.
The S5.1 Pro is certainly amid-range offering by the company, and will be available in China soon. Unfortunately, we still have no confirmations when the device will be available in regions outside China. Information regarding the pricing of the device is still not available. However, it is expected to cost about 1899 Yuan (Rs.20,000 approx.).

Gionee is putting a high premium on the looks and design of the handset. By offering mid-range hardware at a price point where most competitors are providing far superior hardware it will be interesting to see how that works out for Gionee.
