Android One gets a European connection with BQ Aquaris A4.5.

Google Android One expands to Spain and Portugal.

The Aquaris 4.5 which was earlier released this year featured the Ubuntu OS and now the latest version is all set to feature Android One on it. Android One is a project which Google initiated last year which promises of a first hand “Google Experience”. The project was initially launched in India which later was introduced in several of the Asian countries and then finally it has now arrived in the Europe. The BQ Aquaris A4.5 comes in Black and White colors and is available at 169.90 Euros (Rs. 12,730 approx.) in Spain and 179.90 Euros (Rs. 13,480) in Portugal from BQ's own website. BQ is a Spanish OEM who is known to be experimenting with Ubuntu in contrast to all the regular Android phones.

The Aquaris A4.5 sports a 4.5 inch IPS display with a screen resolution of 960x540 pixels. The screen has been layered with Dragontail protection. The dimensions of the handset comes up to 63.48 x 131.77 x 8.75mm and weighs just 115 grams.

The handset ropes in an octa-core 1GHz Cortex-A53 CPU from Mediatek, along with a Mali T-720 MP1 GPU which is clocked at 450MHz. The processor comes bundled with 1GB of RAM space. A 16 GB of internal storage is also featured in the smartphone out of which 10.5 GB is free for the user. The storage space can be further expanded to a 64 GB via a micro SD card.

Backed by a 2450mAh battery the handset comes equipped with an 8MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, 5P Lens and dual LED flash. The 5MP front snapper equips in an f/2.0 aperture as well but with 4P Lens. The dual-SIM Aquaris A4.5 supports 4G LTE and also the following connectivity features: Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB OTG. In addition, the device's audio is powered by Dolby sound system.
