Google Nexus 7 Wins the 2012 T3 Gadget of the Year Award

Sliding down all smartphones, tablets and phablets, Google's much applauded tablet, the Google Nexus 7 by Asus swept the T3 Gadget of the year award.

At the same time, pulling behind Apple's iPhones and HTC's One series phones, South Korean mobile conglomerate, Samsung bagged the best phone award of T3 for its Galaxy S3. The T3 award ceremony was taken place at the Old Billingsgate Market in London. It is considered to be one of the biggest technology award functions in the world.



A tally of 20 awards was listed by the T3 in different categories. Excluding the Galaxy S3, it was none other than Google Nexus 7 by Asus crowned the attention of guests and media invited to the conference. Satisfying iPhone maniacs, iPhone 4S won the best business gadget of the year award. Meanwhile, Sony's 5 inch next generation portable entertainment product, the PS Vita acquired the best gaming gadget reward.

Netting couple of awards each, Google and Amazon share the most award winning brands of the year. While Google's Nexus 7 tablet won 2 awards for the best tablet and the best gadget, Amazon scribed it for the best commuter gadget and the best gadget retailer of the year awards.
