A comparison of Samsung Galaxy Star, Galaxy Pocket Neo and Galaxy Win

Samsung has announced three new smartphones in April 2013. All are Dual sim smartphones having more or less the same specs. What is common in them? What are the unique features of each mobile? Here we present for you an analysis of all the three phones.


1. Samsung Galaxy Star:

It's told that Samsung is targeting the youth with its Galaxy Star and Pocket Neo. That could be true. Taking in to consideration the expected price and the rich features, these two have every chance to be the favourite of the youth.

Claimed Features by the Company:

There are a lot of features that are pointed out by the company as the advantages of Samsung Galaxy Star. Lets examine that first.

• The design and look: According to the claims of the company, the new look and design of the Galaxy Star is so stylish that the youth will fall in love with it. Its compact and handy. As per the claims of the company, there will no difficulties in handling the phone with your single hand. It is easily fitted to the tiny pockets too.

• The Galaxy Star has been powered by a 1GHz processor, which is sure to provide a better performance to the device as per the claims of the company.

• The combination of Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) Operating System and the user-friendly Touchwiz interface will provide a very smooth user interface.

• Dual SIM connectivity: As per the claims of the company, the dual sim feature will be a real help for the youth to have two different connections, which can be switched easily.

The advantages of Samsung Galaxy Star:

• Switching the SIM cards for different purposes has made easy. For example, you can send a typed message via either of the numbers, as both the numbers will be present on the screen with two different send button. This will make no room for confusion.

• The smooth and stylistic design is good. And, as per the claims of the company, the phone is quite handy too.

The disadvantages of Samsung Galaxy Star:

• The primary disadvantage is that, the phone has no secondary camera.

• The primary camera itself is poor with only 2 MP. Even other common feature phones have rich cameras than this.

• With 133 ppi, the screen quality might not be that mind blowing.

2.Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo:

Samsung has released Galaxy Pocket Neo along with Galaxy Star. Just like the Galaxy Star, Pocket Neo also targets the young generation. Pocket Neo also is a Dual sim smartphone. Both of them almost similar features too.

3.Samsung Galaxy Win:

Samsung Galaxy Win

Samsung's third announcement of the month of April, 2013, the Galaxy Win, is yet another Dual sim smartphone. It is a mid ranged Galaxy phone. Samsung had recently launched it in China, and now they are on their way to India and other countries. Samsung Galaxy Win will be coming both Single Sim and Dual Sim versions.

Samsung claims that the Galaxy Win comes with several enhanced smart features, like Easy Mode, Smart Alert, and Motion UX. Easy mode is the home screen mode, which gives smooth access to the most wanted apps of your smartphone. Smart Alert you notifies you about your deadlines, missed calls etc. Motion UX, on the other hand, makes use of functions such as Mute, Refresh & Update, and Scan for other devices with simple motion controls.
The device will be coming in two different colour variations – Ceramic White and Titan Gray.

• 4.7 inches display screen with 199 ppi and 480×800 pixels resolution.
• Android OS, v4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) OS.

The advantages of Samsung Galaxy Win:

• Pretty Good screen with good ppi.
• Good rear Camera.
• VGA Front camera.
• 3G and Wi-Fi support.
• Dual Sim.

There were no disadvantages with the phone. As the price of the phone is yet to be released, it is really hard to predict whether the device will be worth a buy or not. It seems like we will have to wait for some more time to dig out the cons of Samsung Galaxy Win.
