Honor 9 to be launched Soon! Specs Revealed

Honor 9 visits TENAA, minor improvements from Honor8!

Huawei's sub-brand Honor has decided to keep the winning formula going with the announcement of the newest phone in its flagship the Honor 9. Because of this, the Honor 9 looks almost identical to the Honor 8, and the specs are pretty same too.

We know this because TENAA has certified the Honor 9 for sale in China recently. This has leaked almost all of the phone’s specs.

As we can see, The Honor 9 could very well be confused for an Honor 8 but there is one difference between them in looks. On the Rear Side, the dual-LED flash and laser autofocus windows are vertical in the Honor 8 while they are horizontal in the Honor 9. That’s about it as far as major design changes are concerned between the two devices.

The Honor 9 measures 147.3 x 70.9 x 7.45 mm, dimensionwise which makes it basically the same width and thickness as its predecessor, but 1.8 mm taller for some reason. The screen is a 5.15-inch full HDand the device is powered by a 2.4 GHz Octa-core processor SoC.

Evidently, this is one of the biggest improvements in Honor 9. The Kirin 950 chipset has been replaced by the Kirin 960, previously seen on the P10, P10 Plus, and Mate 9. So for the first time the Honor flagship will be on par, chipset-wise, with Huawei's top of the line models.

Going ahead, the Honor 9 has 6GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. The device is powered by a 3,100 mAh battery a slight improvement from Honor 8. The Honor 9 runs Android 7.0 Nougat underneath EMUI. Its dual rear camera setup consists of 12 MP and 20 MP lenses, whereas in the front an 8MP Selfie Shooter is setup.

The Honor 9 is expected to be released in China on June 20 or 21 and in Europe by June 27. The Handset is expected to be Priced in the range of 335$-378$ approximately based on the configurations we pick.
