Reliance Jio has revealed new tariffs as its Dhan Dhana Dhan offer which began in April has come to an end. Though the effective rates have increased, data offered by and validity of regular plans have doubled. This coupled with the fact that the new plans are still cheaper than the plans offered by other operators will ensure that the existing popularity of Jio won't diminish. Further, all voice calls and SMSes are free on Jio.
Let us take a look at the prepaid plans offered by Jio:
Jio offers an extensive range of prepaid plans, starting from Rs.19 and extending as far as Rs. 9,999.
The Rs. 309 plan now offers 56 GB 4G data for 56 days instead of the earlier 28 GB 4G data for 28 days. The limit of 1 GB 4G data per day remains the same.
The newly launched Rs. 349 plan offers 10 GB per month for two months. The attractiveness of this plan is that there's no limit to 4G data that can be used per day.
The Rs. 399 plan is the new edition of the Dhan Dhana Dhan offer. Under this plan, 84 GB of 4G data is offered for 84 days at a cap of 1 GB data per day.
The Rs.509 plan now offers 112 GB data for 56 days revised from the former 56 GB data for 28 days.
The daily limit of 2 GB 4G data stays unchanged.
The Rs. 999 plan now offers 90 GB for 90 days as opposed to the previous 60 GB for 60 days. There's no daily usage limit in this plan.
The Rs. 1999 plan now offers 155 GB for 120 days while it used to offer 125 GB for 90 days. No daily limit in this plan.

The Rs. 9999 plan now offers 780 GB for 390 days. This plan earlier offered 750 GB for 360 days. No daily usage restriction in this plan.
We'll now discuss the post-paid plans:
Postpaid plans offered by Jio are for Rs. 309, Rs. 349, Rs. 399, Rs. 509 and Rs. 999. A notable difference between the prepaid and post-paid plans is that while a month is equal to 28 days for prepaid plans, one month is equivalent to one bill cycle for post-paid plans.
The Rs. 309 Rs. 309, Rs. 349, Rs. 399 and Rs. 509 post-paid plans and the corresponding prepaid plans of the same prices offer almost the same quantity of 4G data and similar validity. The only exception in this regard is the Rs. 999 post-paid plan which offers 90 GB for 2 months. We have seen above how the Rs. 999 prepaid plan offers 90 GB for 90 days.

New tariffs are expected from other telecom operators to combat Jio's latest plans. But as we have reported earlier, Jio is planning to launch a cheap 4G feature phone to attract customers who are using 2G phones. This new phone is expected to come with a cheaper plan priced near Rs. 100. Ever since its launch, the Mukesh Ambani-led company has been constantly innovating the mobile phone network business in the country. It looks like Jio has many more tricks up its sleeve.
As usual, Reliance Jio has focussed on giving more goodies than its competitors
