“The all new Acer Iconia W3 will be new wave in the tableting world. It is multi-fuctional and aimed both the students and working class. We are now offering a launch special price of Rs.27,999 for a month.” said S. Rajendran, Chief Marketing Officer of Acer India.
The Iconia W3 is the smallest Windows OS running tablet in the world. It comes with an 8.1 inches LED-backlit display. It has a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, which makes visuals a great experience to users. The highlight of the device is its operating system. Being run by Microsoft's Windows 8 OS, the Iconia W3 accesses you to the next level of tableting. Of course, it's multi-functional. You can use it like a laptop or like a tablet. Having a dimension of 219 x 135 x 11 mm, the Iconia W3 weighs 540 kg. It is also provided with a portable keyboard. We may find the tablet bulky along with the keyboard. So it is a bit uncomfortable to carry on the keyboard. But, it is alright if you have a bag with you.
The device is powered by a 1.8GHz dual-core Intel CloverTrail processor and it is further assisted by 2 GB RAM. Tablets always keep a good hand for playing high graphicsed games. Packed with Intel Graphics Media Accelerator graphics coprocessor and 64 MB graphics card, high-end games are playable without any stuck and hold.
Tablets aren't know for their camera features. So least is the features on it. It is wedded with a 2 MP front and 2 MP rear camera. Unfortunately, there is no LED flash. Acer should have done a better job here. Because, the Iconia W3 is highly priced. At least a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash would have been there.
Obviously, there is no sim card slot. Well, Wi-Fi is there to get connected to data. The Iconia W3 is stood upto 8 hours by a 2-Cell Li-Polymer 3500 mAh battery. The tablet is only available in silver color.
