Sony Honami to be Called Xperia Z1

The new smartphone from Sony could be called the Xperia Z1.

Earlier, we had mentioned that the spec of the upcoming smartphone from Sony had been leaked. At that time, the device was code named as the i1 Honami. Now, according to the latest rumours, the device could be called Xperia Z1. As the IFA is about to start in Berlin next month, the company is busy polishing their new weapon it seems. As per the reports of the experts, the Z1 smartphone is likely to replace the Xperia Z as the company's flagship smartphone.



As per the leaked specifications, the Xperia Z1 smartphone will be having a 5 inches, Full HD display screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The device will be featuring Triluminos quantum dot display technology, developed by the company for improved colour accuracy. The Xperia Z1 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, clocked at 2.2 GHz. The storage capacity of the smartphone includes a 2GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage and of course a port to expand the memory using a microSD card.



If the rumours are correct, the device will be packing a 20.7 MP camera, which will be competent rival to the Nokia Lumia 1020 smartphone. Sony's latest feature, the dust and water resistance will be seen in the Xperia Z1 too. Most probably, the device will be launching in the IFA 2013. the device will be coming in three different colour variations, White, Black and Purple.
