Samsung has unveiled an entry level tablet PC – Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0. The Galaxy Tab 3 Lite is made bearing a lot of resemblances with the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, and the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0. Unfortunately, the firm hasn't revealed the price of the gadget yet.
Just like its siblings, the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite comes with a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels. The gadget measures 193x117x9.7mm dimension and weighs 310 gm. It is powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz processor with 1GB RAM.
It has an inbuilt storage of 8 GB and is expandable up to 64 GB via a micro SD card. It runs on Android v4.2 Jelly Bean.
The device sports a 2 MP rear camera. However, the front camera is absent here. And boosted up with a 3600 mAh battery, the company promises 8 hours of video playback time.
The Tab 3 Lite supports connectivity options such as WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. There is a 3G variant for the same tab namely Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0 3G, which features SIM slot, 2G, and 3G connectivity. Above all, there is a voice calling option as well for the 3G variant. The tab is expected to be launched with a starting price of around Rs. 10,000.
