Motorola Moto E Launched in India at a Price Tag of Rs.6,999

Motorola strikes again with a much-hyped budget smartphone, Motorola Moto E at a surprisingly low price tag. At the launch event in Delhi, Flipkart has just revealed the price of Motorola's new dual-SIM budget smartphone Moto E in India. The device will be available in India at a disruptive price tag of Rs. 6,999. Just like Moto G and Moto X, the phone will be available exclusively via online retailer Flipkart from May 14. The phone is currently listed in Black and White variants on Flipkart.



Moto E is known to be the watered down version of Moto G, Motorola's come-back device. With this budget offering, Motorola is targeting the large number of smartphone newbies who are planning to switch from feature phones to budget smartphones. The spec-rich design and cheap price tag are likely to make Moto E a hot seller in markets.



Moto E sports a 4.3 inch display with a resolution of 540x960 pixels and 256 ppi pixel density which makes it superior among competitors in this price range. Motorola is also offering the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection along with its 'water-nano coating' which provides a measure of resistance to water splashes, so that it does not get damaged in rain. The device runs on Android 4.4, KitKat, the latest version of the world’s most popular mobile platform, with a guaranteed upgrade to next version. Powered by a dual-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor along with Adreno 302 GPU coupled with 1 GB of RAM, Moto E gives some guarantee in the performance front. Unlike Moto X and Moto G, this phone supports microSD card for storage expansion upto 32 GB.



The dual Sim budget phone also sports a 5 MP camera on the back, but does not have rear LED flash and front camera, which may disappoint many users who are keen on camera specifications. The smartphone is backed by a decent 1,980 mAh battery and Motorola claims it can last a whole day once fully charged. Connectivity options include 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, microUSB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with GLONASS, FM radio and 3.5mm audio jack.



Moto E comes in multiple colorful swappable back covers and grip shells including Black, Lemon, and Turquoise. Flipkart will be offering 50% off on Moto E covers, 50% off in Transcend 8 GB memory card, and Ebooks worth Rs. 1000 free.
