Samsung has officially taken the wraps off the Galaxy Note 5 to present to the world the latest of their flagship. Samsung Galaxy might be the most popular and most desired handset form Samsung but now it looks like this elegant Note is representing Samsung as the mightiest of all. From the pictures we feel that the Note 5 can be best described as a combination of the Galaxy S6 and Note 4 which was released last year. The Galaxy Note 5 will be available at $739.99 (roughly Rs. 48,400) for the 32GB variant, and $839.99 (roughly Rs. 54,800) for the 64GB variant. The device will be on sale from August 21st on wards.



Just like the Galaxy S6 the Note 5 also sports straight sides and slight curves on the back. The AMOLED display is of 5.7 inches with a screen resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. Being just 7.6mm thin the Note 5 weighs 171 grams. The device will be available for purchase in the following color variants White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, and Silver Titanium.

The device will be power driven by a 64-bit 2.1 GHz octa-core Exynos 7420 SoC and a four Cortex-A53 clocked at 1.5GHz for lower tasks. The processor is couple with 4 GB of RAM space as well. The Note 5 will be based on Android 5.1 Lollipop layered with Samsung's own TouchWiz. The device will have access to a wide range of Google services as well.

The device comes in 32 GB and 64GB storage options and we see that they have done away with the 128GB variant. This may be a major blow to the power users but the 100 GB of free Microsoft One Drive Cloud storage may turn to be a consolation for the users. There are no option for an expandable memory as well.

Note 5 features a 16MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and Optical image stabilization. The rear camera can be launched with a double press on the home screen button which is also embedded with a finger print scanner as well. The front features a 5 MP selfie camera for video chats. The device is also equipped with the Live Broadcast feature through which you can upload videos to YouTube instantly and share it with people whom you choose.

A strong and powerful 3,000mAH non-removable battery propels the device. It also comes with Ultra Fast charging with built-in support for Fast wireless charging with the help of a separate pad.Connectivity options include 4G, 3G, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB 2.0 (so no USB Type-C as was rumored).
