The south Korean mobile giant wants to keep all formats on its smartphones. The upcoming device Galaxy Beam provides a better choice for both smartphone and cinema lovers. The Beam comes with Digital Light Projector (DLP) which enables to share gallery videos and photographs on real time. The 15 Lumen DLP is quiet enough to watch stuffs just as it is done on TV screens. The ambience mode and Over Head Projector (OHP) support enroll a better experience to the user.
The Beam is powered by 1 GHz Dual-core Cortex-A9 processor. It features a 4.0 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with a resoulution of 480 x 800 pixels. The TouchWiz UI v4.0 provides a better touch effect. It runs in Android Gingerbread 2.3 OS and upgradable to Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 version. The primary 5 MP camera with LED flash is mated with a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels ant autofocus. Moreover, the secondary camera 1.3 MP does a good experience for video chatting.
8 GB in-built storage and 768 RAM initiate a faster smartphoning. Memory can be expanded upto 32 GB using a Micro SD card. The standard battery, Li-Ion 2000 mAh ensures a stand-by of 760 hours in 2G and 760 hours in 3G. Nevertheless, a better talktime of 20 hours in 2G and 9.5 hours in 3G.
Samsung I8530 Galaxy Beam is expected to be available in retail shops by this August. Though Samsung unveiled the product and confirmed its launch date earlier, it’s not yet available in the Indian off-line market. However, the cell is buyable at Samsung India E Store at a price tag of Rs.29900.
