Here comes the first budget 3D smartphone. What all can we expect from it? Read below.
Dubbed Micromax Canvas 3D A115, the 3D smartphone made its launch in India in April 30th. The device is available online at a price of rupees 99999/-. considering the innovative feature the phone has, we should admit that Micromax did well in holding back the price tag.
As the phone has released only recently, we will have to wait for an authentic review. We need at least a week's time to explore the device and come up with an authentic review. Now, lets go through what all can we expect from Micromax Canvas 3D A115, by analysing the specification list that the company has let out.
In its looks and build, no body is gonna think that it is a unique Micromax device. The design of Canvas 3D is so similar with other Canvases. Some might confuse it for Viva too. The only difference that we might be able to point out in Canvas 3D could be the 12.7 CMs naked- eye 3D touch screen. That difference too, will be visible only on a closer analysis. In its other design features, the company has not yet put in any changes.
The display of Canvas 3D A115 will be different from that of the other Canvases. The Canvas 3D will be having the 3D menu, obviously. As we mentioned above, the 3D effects will be visible without any Glasses. There will be a live 3D menu display, in which all the icons will have 3D effects. That will definitely be a wonderful experience.
But we are clever enough to figure out that the phone has only 187 ppi. With this pixel density, we are not sure about how far the 3D experience will be displayed. Micromax should have foreseen that the 3D experience will be greater for Gaming, and ppi should be higher for excellent gaming out put. They might have neglected it to keep the price range in the current limit.
The Canvas 3D A115 will be having a 1GHz Dual core processor. It has a 4 GB internal storage memory, 512 MB RAM and an expandable memory up to 32GB. The processor is somewhat okay, but could have been better as the 3D phone will be used more for gaming. But the RAM is too poor. As the 3D phone will be used for video streaming and watching, the RAM could have been that of at least 1GB if not 2.
The Micromax Canvas 3D A115 smartphone uses Android Jelly Bean OS, which will be providing faster performance.
The Canvas 3D comes with dual cameras. A 5MP rear camera and a VGA front camera. The Camera has an option to take pictures in 3D mode, which will be really interesting for the camera freaks. The rear camera has dual LED flash light too. It should give a very good camera performance. Well, lets see.
As any quality smartphone of the era, the Canvas 3D A115 also has all the connectivity features including 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE, SPEED ets. The phone support GPS too. So, do not worry about finding out the route. The phone has USB connectivity too.
The whole device is powered by a Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery. It will be enough to give you a battery life of up to 4 h 30 min talk time and up to 225 h standby time. These are the claims of the company. We will not be able to predict anything about this. It needs first hand experience. We will be getting back witha full review soon.
Price is where Micromax has succesfully retained their signature. Like all other smart devices, Canvas 3D
also comes at a very budget friendly prce. The device is currently available at a price of RS. 9999/-. Most of the online stores have listed the device, notifying that it will be delivered in 4-5 working days.
