Sony is back with a high-end smartphone by introducing a premium addition to the Xperia Z3 series, the Xperia Z3 Plus, at a whopping price of 55,990. The phone essentially retains the same design and looks but has brought about a couple of interesting changes beneath the hood. Lets have a quick preview of the specifications offered on the new Xperia Z3 Plus.
The design has in-fact been almost similar for a couple of earlier releases by Sony. Apparently Xperia Z3 and Z3+ looks almost the same sporting the same metallic sides and edges which makes it quite difficult to distinguish them easily. However, the Z3+ is slightly thinner (6.9mm vs 7.3mm) and lighter (144grams vs 152grams) with a shiny finish on the sides. The front and back panels are made of glass, not sure whether it offers a good grip or not. The corners as well as edges are rounded and there are no dock connectors at the left edge.
The front panel is ruled by a 5.2inch fullHD (1920x1080p) IPS display with Sony's TRILUMINOS technology and XReality for mobile. The panel is protected by tempered glass making it difficult to break. It also comes with adaptive brightness to increase the intensity of backlight depending on ambient light. The display seems to be bright and vivid, offering wide viewing angles and excellent touch response. The 3.5mm audio jack is located on the top and the micro USB charging port is on the base. Another significant feature is that the phone is dust and water resistant. Go ahead, enjoy the beauty of the nature without the fear of ruining your smartphone.
The sony Xperia Z3+ has highly impressive internals. Housing the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC is an Octacore processor paired with 3GB of RAM, ensuring that the phone will not slow down or lag even with multiple tasks running in the background. The Xperia Z3 users have however complained of overheating issues, lets hope that this issue is resolved with the Z3+. On the storage side, we have 32GB and also offer a microSD card slot in case you wish to expand the storage capacity. The software of the Xperia Z3+ comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box with Sony's own UI and apps for music, videos and gallery.
Sony Xperia Z3+ comes with the 20.7MP rear camera that we've seen on the Xperia Z3. But the Z3+ has a 25mm wideangle 5.1MP front camera for better selfies, compared to the 2.2MP front camera of Xperia Z3. The front facing shutter now comes with amazing auto-mode for selfies. The HDR for photos and videos allows you to capture greater shots. The new Gourmet mode will give that added look to all your food pictures. Great news to all the foodies to click and share their experiences. The Style Portrait and AR Mask lets you to get creative with all your pictures.
The sound quality is also enriching. For those times when you need to block out background noise, Xperia Z3+ supports digital noise cancelling, reducing ambient noise by up to 98%. Therefore better clarity and greater feel. And now you can enjoy optimal audio settings when connected to any headphones, as Z3+ senses both the type and style of headset and automatically adjusts the audio settings accordingly for best sound experience.
