A Chinese e-commerce site Suning Tesco has already began taking pre-orders for the smartphone. News says that the smartphone will be made available in China initially and will reach the other markets only by July 17. It is supposed to be priced around Rs. 30,800/-
The officials has not yet confirmed the release of the product. But inside sources suggest that the smartphone will be the thinnest ever one produced by Galaxy measuring a thickness of just 5.94mm. The pictures of the A8 reveals a stunning beauty and a hands-on video of the phone gives a detailed description on the specifications. Like all the other Samsung models of late the Galaxy A8 is also set to adorn an all metal frame.
Going into the details, the A8 is said to have intriguing dimensions of 157.7 x 76.7 x 5.9mm and a net weight of 140 gms, thus totaling it to be the slimmest phone yet released by Samsung. The pictures and the rumors convey that the A8 will be sporting a 5.7 inch full HD super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. This product of Samsung looks so much like the flagship device Galaxy S6. The metal bezels on the sides are typical S6 type. The home screen button is embedded with the fingerprint sensor as well.
The internals include an octa-core Snapdragon 615 chipset clocked at 1.5 GHz, paired with 2GB of RAM. The OS on which the A8 is geared is Android 5.1.1. The phone is said to have an internal storage capacity of 16 GB and the expandable memory storage capacity is not yet mentioned, but there is definitely options for external memory since we have spotted the Micro SD card slots on the side. Only hoping that it will be a generous amount.
A 16 MP ISOCELL camera is placed at the rear with LED flash and a 5MP one in the front for clicking selfies. The rear camera also features an f/1.9 aperture. A8 is power sourced by a 3,050 mAh battery which guarantees a reasonable amount of battery capacity. That means more power to you and your fingertips.
The company is planning to launch the devices in two variants on the basis of the SIM features. The single-SIM version is supposed to be powered by Exynos Soc and the dual-SIM version on Snapdragon 615. The color variants expected are Gold, White and Black.
