The Apple Pickle!

With iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus bending and new software update causing cracks, Apple Inc is in trouble

Apple had awed us with the launch of iPhone 6, iPhone 6 plus and iOS 8 all in one month. Well it is still not ready to quit the newsroom as Iphone 6 Plus has been reported with a bendy body and the sudden withdrawal of iOS 8.0.1 update after receiving enormous amount of complaints.

"With normal use, a bend in iPhone is extremely rare and through our first six days of sale, a total of nine customers have contacted Apple with a bent iPhone 6 Plus," Apple spokeswoman Trudy Muller said in an email.

Facebook, Twitter and Whatspp has been overflowing with the pictures of Bendgate iPhones over the last few days.

“The only way an iPhone may have bent is if someone put it in their back pocket and sat on the phone for a very long time”, said Laban Roomes, chief executive officer of Goldgenie, which customizes and gold plates iPhones.

Apple has stressed again and again about the use of titanium inserts and best glass protection available in the industry on iPhone 6 devices for stronger designs. However, the owners of bendgate handsets are hoping for a replacement for their $300 dollar phone. So far Apple has shipped over 10 million units of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

The new software update that it had released last week had caused a crack in about 40,000 devices all over the world. The new version of iOS 8, 8.0.1 caused an array of complaints about the update affecting the finger print reading Touch ID feature of the devices. Apple was forced to take the update back due to all the issues that followed.

The rival companies have been sneering at Apple with “we don't bend, we break” tag lines. What a pickle! Meanwhile, I strongly suggest you to put that iPhone 6 in your shirt pocket. we don't want a $300 phone to bend, do we?
