The Galaxy Grand Duos (GT-19082) has the features like Android v4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS, 5-inch capacitive touch screen,8 MP primary camera and 2 MP second camera both with full HD recording, expandable storage capacity of 64 GB, multi-window, dual stand-by SIM (GSM -GSM) and 1.2 GHz dual core processor.
The recently launched Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos smartphone will be available in India from February 1st onwards. Samsung is giving away a Grand introductory package worth 10,990/- Indian rupees for free along with each purchase of the Galaxy Grand Duos smartphone. The free introductory package includes a Samsung flip cover along with 50 GB Dropbox space and free movies and music on 'My Services'. Samsung has introduced its 'My Services' platform in its Galaxy Grand Duos smartphone, which includes 'my Movies', 'my Music', 'my Mobile TV', 'myStation', 'myReader' and 'myEducation'.
The Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos has an internal memory of 8 GB, which can be extended to 64 GB by with microSD card. The device supports internet connectivity through 2G,3G and Wi-Fi. It has a built in A-GPS and GLONASS with Google Maps.

The phone is good in its outlook appearance but i have noticed the following issues;
1. the battery backup is very low, it doesn't last after each charging.
2. There is a voice-in and voice-out issue. You can only make or receive call through the out speaker functionality.

nice device, can use it in every way i want. no problem with the appz i installed (only differs from the app that you installed if it is compatible).
For others, sometimes you will experience hanging because maybe you installed many appz in your phone. I encounter it sometimes also, but no prob with that. it runs smoothly specially when im switching on 1 to another.
only problem is the internal memory. that is the most i can't moved on. 8gb on the specs that they show, but can only use 4gb. and another thing that i noticed, i 1st bought a samsung galaxy win. almost the same specs but win has quadcore. same internal memory, but, if the 4.1.2 JB really gets the 4gb of internal on the galaxy grand, why is that galaxy win with same OS only get 3gb on the internal? (more than 3gb i think coz last time I check, it was showing more than 5gb on internal memory). please explain.

We can make Groups from the contact list which are mainly made to send SMS simultaneously to all in the group as making call to all in the Group is just impossible and senseless. I bought this phone 3 days ago. My first touch screen model, so I can't compare it with any others. I bought in Thailand and thought it strange that I had to create a 'gmail' account on the phone before they would let me leave the shop with it! Hate that kind of thing. I would back up what the previous reviewers say about the battery charge not lasting, BUT - as it's a new phone I have been playing with it a lot so time will tell on that one. Maybe a third party will bring out a better battery if it's a major gripe. Not had any hanging issues yet. I like the size of the screen - certainly beats my old Nokia E72! Camera looks great too with a good bright flash. Can do some fancy things with photos using the installed software Camera360. I haven't found iny pre-installed games like Solitaire or a Tetris variant yet. Screen will stay on as long as you are looking at it. Used my old memory card and my music and photos appeared where they should. Internal speaker has good quality and volume (compared against my old E72) No problems with headset usage. Liked the various settings on sound via the graphic equaliser. I am using 2 x SIM cards at the moment - one indicates on roaming, the other local. Can send SMS by tapping the SIM icon to let the phone know which SIM you want to send via. Like I say, it's my first touch screen phone and I'm still getting used to it - even just the fact that I have to swipe to answer a call instead of pushing a button! Think I'm going to like it though - a lot!

1. the battery backup is very low, it doesn't last after each charging.
2. There is a voice-in and voice-out issue. You can only make or receive call through the out speaker functionality.
3. It hangs occasionally and very slow which hinders or halts smooth operations.
COMPAREED TO THE PRICE IT'S BAD...
without that it is wonderful phone!!!!!!!!!!!
i found the drabacks....
1.Battery Backup low.
2.Some times screen light should be off and on why.
3.Other than these every thing is good.
However, low battery appears by noon itself though charged fully overnight.
I have important question to ask, according to Manual, this model will work in Kuwait only (Having purchase in Kuwait) and May not in India. Is it so? Hv any experienced it? Pls drop ur comments.

my phone battery is very low, every time i taking my phone charger with me for charge the phone beacuse of battery problem i am charging my phone up to 3 to 4 hours that battery backup is only for 2 hours maximum back up only so kindly suggest me can i change my Samsung galaxy grand phone to same company and take other one
For others, sometimes you will experience hanging because maybe you installed many appz in your phone. I encounter it sometimes also, but no prob with that. it runs smoothly specially when im switching on 1 to another.
only problem is the internal memory. that is the most i can't moved on. 8gb on the specs that they show, but can only use 4gb. and another thing that i noticed, i 1st bought a samsung galaxy win. almost the same specs but win has quadcore. same internal memory, but, if the 4.1.2 JB really gets the 4gb of internal on the galaxy grand, why is that galaxy win with same OS only get 3gb on the internal? (more than 3gb i think coz last time I check, it was showing more than 5gb on internal memory). please explain.
