Chinese manufacturer Zoppo Mobile has made its smartphone Speed X available for purchase in India. Priced at Rs.9,499, the phone is being sold exclusively through online merchants.
The phone comes with a 5-inch display screen having a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) operating system and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor. Backed by a battery of 2680mAh, the device has 3 GB RAM. An internal storage space of 32 GB has been provided in the smartphone and the external memory is expandable up to 128 GB. The Speed X is probably the cheapest phone in the country with a dual camera setup at the rear. This setup consists of a 13 MP sensor and a 2MP sensor. A camera of 13 MP resolution takes care of selfie duties which is remarkable considering that no other company is offering a front camera of such a high resolution at this price point. Both the front and rear cameras are accompanied by LED flash.
Zoppo claims that the fingerprint scanner mounted on the rear of this phone is the fastest fingerprint scanner in the world with a reaction time of 0.16 seconds. The scanner also has the 360-degree unique touch recognition system embedded in it due to which it can recognize your finger from any angle. Moreover, the fingerprint scanner is square-shaped as opposed to the round shape seen these days. This adds more character to the phone's design.
Another highlight of Zopo Speed X is that Niki.ai chatbot app is pre-installed in it. The Niki chatbot helps users to purchase products and services online. The interface of the app is such that a user can instruct the app via chatting to do a task and the app will understand and execute the command. This app is touted to be one of the best innovations to have come out of India in the recent times and is funded by the likes of Ratan Tata and Ronnie Screwvala.
Therefore, the Zopo Speed X is packed with a lot of features and arguably offers the most value for money in the entry-level segment. The only drawback of the phone is its battery capacity, but since most of us carry around power banks these days, it is not a major issue. At its price, the Speed X's competitors are Nokia 3, Xiaomi Redmi 4, Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime, Xiaomi Redmi 4A, Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus, Lenovo Vibe K4 Note, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le 2, Lenovo K5 Note, Moto G5 Plus, Oppo A37, Vivo Y55S, Vivo Y55L, Vivo Y51L, Lenovo K6 Power, and Moto E4 Plus.
The current conquest of the Indian mobile phone market by Chinese companies looks unstoppable as brands like Zoppo are doling out such great bargains.
The Zopo Speed X is great bang for your buck with best in class features
