2G

2G is the short term for second generation wireless telephone technology. It was first launched in Finland. Here, the telephonic conversations are digitally encrypted. After 2G has launched, the technology existed before it was automatically dubbed as 1G, in which the signals were transmitted in analogue mode. Both systems use digital signalling to connect the radio towers to the telephone. Nowadays, most of the mobile phones use this technology.
